This gadget is something I designed to fit onto the reed / beater bar to work like a mini raddle.
When warping front to back (which I prefer) at setts with multiple ends per dent, it can be frustrating and time consuming to sort out the threads in one dent one by one. This device works by clamping onto your reed / beater bar, and as you sleigh your reed you can put your threads in order and then when you are ready to thread the heddles its very easy to grab one thread at a time from the back of the loom.
You can slide the device along, or buy / print several. I prefer to thread in chunks, so about 50 ends at a time, so a few of these is plenty.
I will design a separate set of different sized raddles for the same bracket in time, with other accessories, but this is the base design. It has really improved my experience, I hope it improves yours too.
The bracket and raddle are 102mm long, with bracket slots for 35mm and 50mm to fit most reeds / beater bars. Screws are included for clamping to the reed/beater bar, but its not necessary. You can print two dovetails and two raddles and fit them in one bracket too.
Its separated into to parts to make it print without supports. You can glue the raddle into the dovetail, but I have not needed to. You may need to slightly scale down the screw if your printer is a bit loose on the tolerances.
Please measure the depth of your beater bar (where the reed raddle slides on) and select the size you need. Custom sizes may be available at request.
Filament colour will be selected at random.
